Pismo achieves million-account migration in February as two clients go live

Two Pismo clients in Brazil migrated to our cloud-native platform in February, switching more than one million accounts

In February, Pismo successfully migrated over one million accounts as two Brazilian clients switched to our cloud-native next-generation platform.

One client, which operates in the prepaid card space, worked with Pismo to move just over 800,000 accounts, which included half a million active and revenue-generating customers.

The very next day, with the Pismo system live, it handled a peak volume of 18,000 transactions per minute with zero issues.

The other client, which offers digital accounts across Brazil, migrated 200,000 accounts to Pismo in the same month.

Migrations are often recognised as one of the most challenging aspects of system changes, with plenty of pitfalls. Finding the right option is essential to achieving a hassle-free switch.

The Pismo migration toolkit

Ensuring you have the right team is critical to meeting expectations and securing an effective transition. The Pismo team has extensive experience migrating from various systems and deploying in record time.

Pismo has worked with some of the largest banks in Latin America, and we are expanding our client base globally.

The Pismo migration toolkit consists of tailored microservices communicating with a bank’s existing core and payment systems through APIs. This enables safe and secure data transfer from legacy databases.

Financial institutions can migrate customer information, transaction data, accounting registries, and regulatory details separately.

Our migration process gives clients complete visibility in real-time of all steps undertaken. This includes real-time information on cards, accounts and transactions occurring during and after the migration.

Card migration? No problem

In February, our team migrated over 900,000 cards (and related PCI data).

Card migrations with Pismo are just as effective. Our tools have already transferred millions of credit card accounts from legacy systems to the cloud.

For fintechs using a Bank Identification Number (BIN) sponsor, Pismo can simultaneously migrate all the cards related to a specific BIN.

For financial institutions that receive authorisations from a card network directly, there is the option of transferring in a series of batches.

Pismo uses an authorisation redirector to ensure our clients’ card management system operates during the transition period. With the migration complete, the redirector is removed, and the client gains all the benefits of its move to a next-generation cloud-based platform.
