The State of Venture yearly report is a 173-page document featuring global data and analysis on dealmaking, funding, and exits by private market companies. The latest edition, released this week, highlights that 2021 was a record year for global venture funding, exits, unicorns, and more.
Global startup financing reached US$ 621 billion throughout the year, more than double the 2020 mark of US$ 294 billion. Fintechs received US$ 131.5 billion in 2021. This means one out of every five dollars was invested in the financial services sector, in which Pismo operates.
We announced our Series B funding round last October. SoftBank Latin America Fund, Amazon and Accel led the round with B3, Falabella Ventures, PruVen, and existing investors Headline and Redpoint eventures.
