I had the honour and privilege of being a judge for the Fintech Futures Banking Tech Awards 2021, which recognises the top achievers and innovators within the global banking technology community.

The awards function was held on 24 November at the Royal Lancaster Hotel, in London, where the winners received their awards. It is the first industry event I have attended since the start of the pandemic. It was wonderful to finally talk with my fellow judges in person at the judge’s table. I also enjoyed meeting teams from different organisations.

Fintech Futures provide amazing news and updates on the trends in the tech industry. It has been very exciting to work with their team in the last few months — from participating in the judges nomination process, being selected to the judging panel, evaluating the entries in various categories, and finally meeting my fellow judges and the winners in person.

This year, we had nominations coming in from banks, fintechs, and other financial services providers from across the world. I spent a lot of time carefully pursuing each entry from the categories I had chosen to evaluate.

You can see the finalists shortlist on the Banking Tech Awards website.
