The Pay360 Awards, held by the UK’s Payments Association, took place last week, with Pismo client Cora awarded the title of Best B2B Payments Programme.
Pay360, formerly known as the Emerging Payments Awards, celebrates innovation and collaboration by recognising companies that have made significant advances in how we pay today.
Some 850 people from across the payments value chain attended the event, which global payments firm Mastercard sponsored.
Cora was recognised by the judges for its creation of a popular and fast-growing digital bank for small and medium-sized businesses. It offers free checking accounts, debit and credit cards, and billing management.
The firm approves 80% of its new users in less than three hours, a rapid timescale compared to similar banks in its home country of Brazil. Since its launch in 2020, it has accrued more than 500,000 account holders.
Cora uses the Pismo platform to integrate its core systems with Visa and card embossers.
Two more Pismo clients were honoured with nominations at the award ceremony:
- Best B2B/B2C Banking Initiative – BTG Pactual Banking
- Best Regtech Project – B3
