Pismo expands its presence in India and opens office in Bangalore
Tech company sets up local office with a prestigious recognition from India FinTech Forum (IFTA) in tow
Bangalore, 12 December 2022 – India is on track to become the world’s third largest economy by 2027, surpassing Japan and Germany, and have the third largest stock market by 2030, according to a Morgan Stanley study. This immense growth has meant innovation is fostered at the highest level.
India is therefore one of the largest potential markets to benefit from Pismo’s cloud-native, multiservice and API-based platform, thus the opening of its local office in the city of Bangalore.
“Asia, specifically India, is a fore-runner when it comes to fintech innovation. It was always part of our expansion strategy and we are pleased to reaffirm our commitment to the region with a new office, delivering world-class cloud-native products with agility and reliability”, says Vishal Dalal, CEO (North America, EMEA, and APAC) at Pismo.
The core banking and payments technology company has built a strong team in India and has recently won the prestigious IFTA 2022 Award for Fintech Startup of the Year 2022 presented by the India FinTech Forum (IFTA).
“We are here to support financial institutions and fintechs in India that are looking to modernise their infrastructure to keep up with the rapid changes that the market is witnessing”, says Varun Dudeja, Head of Business Development for Asia at Pismo.
The India office is part of the company’s globalisation strategy. Pismo launched its regional operations in Asia in April this year with the opening of an office in Singapore and the announcement of a strategic partnership with OneConnect, the leading technology-as-a-service (TaaS) provider and an associate of Ping An Group. Offices in the US and Europe were announced in 2021.
