Vishal Dalal, Pismo’s CEO for North America, Europe, and Asia, has been profiled in an interview with leading UK publication Business Leader.
In the exclusive interview, he talks about his time as a Partner at McKinsey and his ongoing journey with Pismo. He describes his first impressions of Pismo as a company with “sky-high ambition, deep passion, and a lot of product engineering flair”.
Asked about the biggest issues in the banking sector, Vishal highlights how the pandemic has proven “without a doubt” that the SME sector is “the backbone of the world economy”. He adds the industry has much to do to serve small businesses effectively.
Vishal says banking is a story of two halves: the digital and the non-digital. “The digitally savvy consumer has seen their choices multiply and their experience improve immensely, while the non-digitally savvy consumer has been left stranded.”
When it comes to the future for Pismo, Vishal says it is bright. “It’s been a great journey so far, and I’m looking forward to seeing what we can do in terms of opening up in new markets and watching our platform go from strength to strength.”
Vishal has also recently been interviewed by Celent, which highlighted Pismo as a featured cloud-based core banking platform.
