Brazilian newspaper Estadão spotlights Pismo’s fast expansion

Estadão mentions our imminent move to a new office in São Paulo, our global expansion and the 100 open job positions we have

Brazilian newspaper O Estado de São Paulo, also known as Estadão, highlights Pismo’s fast expansion this week in an article titled: “Against the competition, Pismo goes to Faria Lima, Singapore, and hires”.

The headline references the imminent move of the Pismo office in São Paulo, Brazil, to Faria Lima Avenue, in a neighbourhood that concentrates many financial market companies. It also mentions the recent opening of our office in Singapore, which works as a hub for our operations in Southeast Asia.

Reporter Altamiro Silva Junior writes that Pismo has 100 open job positions, pointing out it is remarkable since many technology companies have made massive layoffs recently.

Altamiro highlights Pismo’s partnership with OneConnect, part of the Ping An Group. “The group, by the way, has no less than 1.5 million employees and will use Pismo’s technology for Southeast Asia,” says the article. OneConnect will offer Banking as a Service (BaaS) and other financial solutions based on the Pismo platform in Southeast Asia and the Middle East.

Estadão also describes Pismo’s presence in Europe and North America: “Pismo also has a unit in Bristol, England, and a developer area in Austin, a city that has become an innovation and technology hub in Texas, United States.”

The article mentions that Pismo received US$ 108 million in its Series B funding round last year. And it lists some of our clients: Brazilian banks Itaú and BTG Pactual, the Brazilian stock exchange B3, and the German-headquartered digital bank N26.

Altamiro interviewed Pismo executives during the Febraban Tech 2022 conference, which takes place this week in São Paulo. If you come to Febraban Tech, visit us at booth 108, on the 3rd floor of the Bienal Pavillion. We invite you to attend our presentation about chaos engineering this Thursday at 11 AM in the Inovação e Negócios auditorium, on the 2nd floor.

The article is available in Portuguese on the Estadão website.
